One of the easiest ways to get started on chosing which wheels to purchase is to first determine the bolt pattern of your vehicle. This is a very easy process and takes little time to do so. Just follow these simple instructions and illustrations and you will be on your way to correctly picking out the wheels for your vehicle.
Step One. Determine how many lug nuts you have. Most vehicles are going to have 4, 5 6, or 8 lugs. There are some vehicles that come with 3, 7 or 10 but are rare.
Once you have determined how many lugs your car or truck has, you can follow the illustrations below to correctly measure your bolt pattern.
4 Lug Vehicles - Measure center to center of two holes directly across from one another.
5 Lug Vehicles - Measure from the BACK of one lug to the CENTER of the third lug. This is the simpliest way to measure a 5 lug vehicle.
6 Lug Vehicles - Measure center to center of two holes directly across from one another
8 Lug Vehicles - Measure center to center of two holes directly across from one another.
